The company's commitment to self-publishing remains firm, as stated in their recent earnings call and subsequent communication with Eurogamer. While appreciating their partnerships, Pearl Abyss emphasizes their focus on independent publishing, believing this approach will maximize profitability.

No Release Date or Confirmed Platforms

Despite speculation, Pearl Abyss confirms no official release date has been set for Crimson Desert. A playable build will be shown to media this week in Paris, and a public demonstration is planned for G-Star in November.

While a September investor meeting revealed Sony's attempt to secure PS5 exclusivity (potentially excluding Xbox for a period), Pearl Abyss chose self-publishing due to projected higher returns. Although the final platform lineup and release date are still unannounced, a PC, PlayStation, and Xbox launch is anticipated around Q2 2025.
