Director Says It "Could Be Interesting"

In an insightful interview with French YouTuber mistermv on May 2, Expedition 33's Director, Guillaume Broche, expressed enthusiasm about the game's achievements and the possibilities that lie ahead.

Broche highlighted the game's success as a pivotal moment for the studio, stating, "Well, at this point, considering the success of the game, it kind of changes everything." This shift in perspective is driving the team to consider new platforms, including the eagerly anticipated Switch 2.

When questioned about a Switch 2 release, Broche responded thoughtfully, "So clearly, it's too early to say, but we're kind of in a situation where... let's say there are a lot of opportunities showing up - way too many at once - and we're figuring out what we'll go for and what we won't. But yeah, it's definitely something that could be interesting." His comments suggest a keen interest in exploring the potential of the new console for their Belle Époque-inspired turn-based RPG.

In a Twitter (X) post dated May 14, they clarified, "To be clear: any third-party websites selling Esquie plushies are NOT officially licensed."

They further cautioned against purchasing these items, many of which feature AI-generated artwork and could be scams. On a positive note, Sandfall Interactive is actively working on producing official Esquie plushies. Their tweet concluded with an encouraging message, "But here’s the wheee to balance out the whooo: we are looking into making official Esquie plushies, and we want to bring them to you as soon as we can. In the meantime, please be patient — and don’t get scammed!"
