Black Ops 6 Unveils Fresh Zombies Experience
Amalgams Absent in New Map
Black Ops 6's Zombies mode welcomes its fifth major installment with an all-new round-based survival map. The reveal came through official channels on X (formerly Twitter), with both Call of Duty's account and Treyarch sharing haunting previews. The March 12, 2025 post showcased a war-torn mansion facade engulfed in flames, with damaged walls, burning military vehicles, and ominous smoke plumes.
The cryptic caption "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording..." accompanied by the #Zombies hashtag hints at the return of this fan-favorite character from Cold War. Given Black Ops 6's connection to the earlier title, Richtoften's reappearance was anticipated by longtime fans.
Sharp-eyed players identified the location as Liberty Falls' Mansion, set in February 1991 according to the teaser. This timeline smoothly continues the narrative from the previous Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting an expanding storyline.

Treyarch's Instagram confirmed a significant gameplay change: this map will exclude Amalgam enemies. When a fan joked about facing 20 Amalgams, developers responded with a definitive "Nope." These elite enemies, known for their durability and powerful attacks, won't appear here, potentially making for smoother gameplay in this location.
