Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!

Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second chance arrives in early February! This extended beta test offers returning players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

Hunt a New Beast!

The Open Beta Test Part 2 will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, you'll face a new challenge: hunt the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles!

Character data from the first beta is transferable to this beta and, later, the full game (though progress won't carry over). Participating rewards include a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, a Seikret item, and a special bonus item pack to aid early-game progress.

Tsujimoto explained the second beta's purpose: to accommodate those who missed the initial test and offer a replay for eager hunters. He also noted that while the team is diligently working on pre-launch improvements, these refinements won't be included in this beta.
