Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders Joins Xbox Game Pass as Day-One Title
Microsoft has confirmed that Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders will debut on Xbox Game Pass on January 21, 2025, making it immediately available to Ultimate subscribers as part of Microsoft's day-one release initiative.
January 2025 Game Pass Lineup Expands
Following a relatively quiet first half of January, the second half brings more substantial additions to Game Pass. Alongside the new snow sports title, subscribers can expect several other day-one releases:
- Eternal Strands (January 28)
- Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30)
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31)
What to Expect from the New Additions
The most anticipated title among the new releases is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games, a studio led by former BioWare creative director Mike Laidlaw. Drawing comparisons to classic Zelda games, this title promises to be a highlight for Game Pass subscribers.
Meanwhile, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders introduces cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes to the established downhill sports formula.
February Outlook
While January's second half brings a strong lineup, February currently shows just one confirmed major release - Obsidian Entertainment's Avowed on February 18, exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate members at launch.
