Star Wars: Underworld Tales Hits Fortnite Ahead of Disney+ Debut

Fans eager to catch the premiere episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to log into Fortnite before the series hits Disney+.

Epic Games announced an expansion of its Star Wars content today, revealing the animated spinoff's first two episodes will debut exclusively through Fortnite. This move supports the studio's Galactic Battle season, featuring an array of Star Wars-themed content.

The Tales of the Underworld premiere starring Asajj Ventress will stream via the Star Wars Watch Party island starting May 2 at 10 a.m. ET - two days before Disney+ release. Epic encourages account linking between Epic Games and MyDisney, rewarding eligible players with a First Order Stormtrooper outfit, with more benefits promised.

"This collaboration represents our shared vision for interactive social entertainment," said Epic Games President Adam Sussman. "We're redefining immersive storytelling with one of entertainment's most iconic franchises - stay tuned for exciting developments."

The Watch Party island remains active until May 11, featuring a Battle Arena where players can duel with lightsabers. Completing both episodes unlocks an Asajj Ventress loading screen.

The six-episode Tales of the Underworld series, animated in The Clone Wars style, follows Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. Ventress discovers new opportunities while Bane confronts his past.

Disney's partnership with Epic extends beyond this season. Following a $1.5 billion investment in March 2024, the companies plan extensive collaboration, including more Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar skins. The upcoming season introduces notable additions like Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.
