Rainbow Six Siege Showcase Set for March 2025

Ubisoft's nine-year-old tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege, is set to receive significant gameplay overhauls and refinements under the name Rainbow Six Siege X. Ubisoft announced this reveal on February 17, 2025, with further information promised for release in March 2025.

The Rainbow Six Siege X showcase is confirmed for March 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM PDT (1:00 PM EDT) in Atlanta, Georgia, where the game's sweeping changes will be presented. Ubisoft describes the event as "an immersive and one-of-a-kind Siege experience, where players, creators, and developers come together as we unveil all the evolutions coming with Siege X, and many more surprises!"

Attendees wishing to participate in person must purchase a ticket for USD $10. This ticket includes an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and an in-game cosmetic pack. However, interested fans must meet the following three eligibility criteria:

　⚫︎ Must be at least 18 years of age
　⚫︎ Must possess a valid Rainbow Six Siege account in good standing (not banned or sanctioned)

Ubisoft is also offering a giveaway for two VIP packages, which include hotel accommodations, roundtrip flights, and entry to the showcase event. This giveaway is likewise restricted to legal residents of the USA and Canada.

The upcoming update is said to introduce "new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, a refined game feel, and major upgrades all around." Specific details regarding these changes will be disclosed during the upcoming showcase.

Rainbow Six Siege Approaches Its 10th Anniversary

Rainbow Six Siege originally launched on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game was later ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020. Through consistent updates over the years, it has become one of the longest-running live-service shooters across multiple platforms. This major upcoming update has the potential to further extend the Rainbow Six franchise's lifespan.

In a Steam post on February 17, 2025, Ubisoft also unveiled a new Operator named Aurora, who can deploy bulletproof doors. Additionally, a new elite skin for Operator Aruni and a new reputation system are on the way. This system will reward or penalize players based on their in-game behavior each season. These new additions will launch with Season 1 of Year 10, titled Operation Prep Phase, on March 4, 2025, as part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations.

Given the launch date of Season 10 and the scheduled showcase for Rainbow Six Siege X, it appears the major upgrades will be deployed to the live servers at a later date.
