Healing Techniques in Dynasty Warriors Origins Revealed

In the thrilling world of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, taking damage is part of the adventure, especially for newcomers to the series. But fear not, as healing is a breeze once you know how. The key to restoring your health lies in a tasty consumable known as the meat bun, a staple in the Dynasty Warriors universe.

To heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, simply locate and use these meat buns. You'll find them by smashing pots scattered around enemy bases. Additionally, you might get lucky and have an Enemy Officer drop one after being defeated, but keep in mind this only happens on the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings. On tougher settings like Hero and Ultimate Warrior, don't expect any meat buns from defeated officers.

Once you've got a meat bun in your inventory, you can enjoy it anytime during battle by pressing Up on the D-Pad. If your inventory is full when you pick up a meat bun, it will automatically be consumed unless you're already at full health. At the start, you can carry up to three meat buns, but if that's not enough, you can upgrade your carrying capacity with the Meat Bun Glutton skill.

For those who prefer a hands-off approach to healing, Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers an "Auto-Use Meat Buns" feature. You can enable this in the Configuration menu, and it will automatically use a meat bun when your health dips below a certain level. Even with auto-healing on, you can still manually use meat buns, so it's a good idea to turn this feature on even if you don't plan to rely on it completely.
