Fortnite Weapon Expertise Quests: Guide

Fortnite Hunters plunges players into a new reality brimming with Japanese mythology, featuring unique locations, formidable demon bosses, and powerful weapons. While the ability to teleport using Void Oni Masks adds a thrilling new dimension, acquiring high-tier weapons is now easier than ever thanks to Weapon Expertise Quests. These quests reward XP for each stage completed, culminating in access to Legendary weapons sold by specific NPCs.

Updated January 14, 2025, by Nathan Round: With each Fortnite Hunters update, new Expertise Quests emerge. This guide includes the recently added Melee Expertise Quests, enabling players to obtain the Typhoon Blade from Kendo.

Weapon Expertise Quests Explained

Weapon Expertise Quests are a unique Fortnite Hunters feature linked to specific map NPCs. The introductory quest involves speaking with Hope, Ruji, or Agent Jones about Expertise and weapon sales. Each quest comprises five challenges, rewarding players with one of three Legendary weapons (sold by Hope, Ruji, or Vengeance Jones) upon completion. Additional quests unlock Oni Masks from Daigo and the Typhoon Blade from Kendo. Track your progress via the Quests tab in the main lobby or in-game.

While these quests can be completed passively, the rewards make the effort worthwhile. Here's a list of available Legendary weapons:
