Dune: Awakening - Unveiling the Behavior of Majestic Sandworms

Dune: Awakening's sandworms: a force of nature, not a player's tool. Unlike the novels, players can't summon sandworms at will using thumpers. Instead, these colossal creatures are independent NPCs with programmed behaviors and patrol routes.

While you can't directly summon them, actions like traversing the sands or using a thumper might attract a sandworm's attention. However, this isn't guaranteed. Furthermore, riding sandworms, a staple of Freman culture in the books, is currently absent from the game due to constraints from the Dune film franchise.

Future updates might add Freman-centric content, potentially including worm-riding. For now, however, this iconic element remains unavailable.

Dune: Awakening launches on PC May 20th, with console releases to follow.
