This news may disappoint fans, yet it's a more positive outlook than previous speculation of a 2027 release.

The latest trailer, unveiled this past June, showcased intense firearm combat against zombies and post-apocalyptic vehicles reminiscent of the Mad Max series.

The game's narrative unfolds years after the apocalypse, focusing on human survivors establishing and defending fortified settlements against the undead.

State of Decay 3 is in development for PC and Xbox Series consoles, with its predecessor having launched in 2018.
