Uncover Captain Henqua's Spoils in Avowed: A Treasure Map Guide

Avowed's world encourages exploration, and treasure maps are a key part of that. This guide details how to find and utilize Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map in Dawnshore.

Finding the Treasure Map

To acquire the map, journey to the lighthouse in Calviger’s Landing (located west in The Living Lands, south on the map). Ascend the lighthouse using the external ledges and scaffolding. The map awaits you at the summit.

Locating Captain Henqua's Spoils

With the map in hand, follow its directions. Head north along the river near the lighthouse, towards a broken bridge (northeast of the Old Pargrun Wall fast travel point). Swim to a western cave opening beneath the bridge. Inside, you'll find the treasure chest containing the Wind and Wave shield.

The Wind and Wave Shield

This Superb Quality shield boasts a 10% movement speed increase and 20% Frost Accumulation resistance. It’s significantly stronger than early-game alternatives and can be upgraded to Legendary quality with rare resources like Glasswood Branches and Adra Ban.
