Marvel Rivals' First Month Hero Data Unveiled: Jeff the Land Shark Reigns Supreme, Mantis Dominates Wins

NetEase has released comprehensive player statistics for Marvel Rivals, highlighting the most and least popular heroes during the game's initial month. The data reveals surprising trends and hints at potential shifts with the upcoming Season 1 updates.

Jeff the Land Shark emerges as the undisputed Quickplay champion, boasting the highest pick rate across both PC and console platforms. However, Mantis, a Strategist hero, surprisingly claims the top spot for win rate, exceeding 50% in both Quickplay (56%) and Competitive (55%). Other high-performing heroes include Loki, Hela, and Adam Warlock.

The competitive scene shows a platform-specific preference: Cloak & Dagger reigns supreme on consoles, while Luna Snow dominates on PC.

The "Hero Hot List" also reveals a significant disparity in hero selection. Storm, a Duelist, suffers from extremely low pick rates (1.66% in Quickplay and a dismal 0.69% in Competitive), largely attributed to player feedback regarding her underwhelming damage and frustrating gameplay. However, NetEase has announced substantial buffs for Storm in Season 1, potentially altering her position significantly.

Season 1, launching January 10th, will introduce the Fantastic Four, adding Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman at launch, with The Human Torch and The Thing arriving mid-season. This influx of new characters is expected to significantly impact the meta and the existing hero statistics. The upcoming balance changes, particularly the buffs to Storm, promise to shake up the existing power dynamics.
